About the role

The Aeronautics Systems Intern Program at Northrop Grumman is designed to provide hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. Interns will participate in projects that involve designing, constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, and maintaining electronic equipment, components, devices, or systems. They will also operate related equipment, conduct tests, and prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed format.
  • Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
  • Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.

Requirements

To qualify, candidates must:

  • Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2027.
  • Be majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM fields.
  • Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Qualifications

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
  • Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).

Skills

While not required, candidates with relevant skills such as programming languages, software tools, or specific hardware knowledge may be preferred.

Pay

Intern Pay Range:

  • Undergraduate degrees (Including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-time Master’s program): $21.50 to $39.00 per hour
  • Master’s: $30.50 to $48.00 per hour
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Schedule

Interns will work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
