About the role

The Aeronautics Systems Intern Program at Northrop Grumman offers a dynamic environment where interns can develop their competencies in various engineering specializations, including electronics engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed format.
  • Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
  • Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.

Requirements

To qualify, candidates must:

  • Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Graduate after August 2027.
  • Major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance and Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • An overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
  • Previous internship/co-op experience.
  • Leadership & teamwork capabilities.
  • Interpersonal communication skills.
  • Professional/community/extracurricular activities.

Pay

Pay ranges based on anticipated graduation date, cost of labor, and position type:

  • Undergraduate degrees (including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-time Master’s program): $21.50 to $39.00 per hour.
  • Master’s: $30.50 to $48.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
