About the role

This 10‑week summer internship program provides hands‑on experience, skills training, and professional networking opportunities to help you identify and build on your career interests. You will gain exposure to TIAA and Nuveen’s businesses by attending meetings, delivering presentations, working on business‑specific tasks, and collaborating with cross‑functional groups. The program includes an onboarding process, an ongoing executive speaker series, lunch‑and‑learns, engagement activities, and direct access to executive and senior leadership, mentors, and previous interns. Throughout the program you will engage in a structured professional development curriculum featuring comprehensive training modules, an executive speaker series, educational workshops, mentorship programs, and cohort‑based learning experiences. You will also receive exposure to key business divisions including Actuarial Services, Asset Management, Business Management, Corporate Strategy and Development, Financial Analysis and Accounting, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Law and Policy, Marketing and Communications, Product and Business Development, Retirement Solutions, Risk and Compliance, Technology, and Wealth Management. Rising seniors can also participate in a Security Industry Essentials (SIE) prep program, with the opportunity to sit for the SIE exam before the summer ends. The relationships you build, the skills you sharpen, and the impact you make this summer will establish the foundation for your career in wealth management, and successful interns may be invited to interview for a full‑time position in TIAA’s Wealth Management & Advice Solutions Program.
