This position will be located in one of the following locations: San Diego, CA; Palmdale, CA; Edwards AFB, CA; Mojave, CA; Redondo Beach, CA; El Segundo, CA; Patuxent River, MD; Emerado, ND; or Oklahoma City, OK. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Test & Evaluation Engineering directorate.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test aerospace systems and specialty test equipment, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight.
- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of test activities to ensure safe, efficient, and effective operations.
- Analyze test data, resolve anomalies, and communicate results and status to internal and external stakeholders.
This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Engineer Aeronautical (T01) or Engineer Aeronautical (T02) level.
Requirements
Associate Engineer Aeronautical (T01)
- Completing or has completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by January 2027.
- Majoring in or has majored in a STEM degree.
- Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Program Special access (U.S. citizenship is required).
Engineer Aeronautical (T02)
- Completing or has completed a Master’s degree from an accredited institution or completing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and has 2 years of Aeronautical engineering experience by January 2027.
- Majoring in or has majored in a STEM degree.
- Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Program Special access (U.S. citizenship is required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
- Previous internship, co-op, or other work experience.
- Leadership and teamwork capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Professional, community, or extracurricular activities.
Pay
- Associate Engineer Aeronautical (T01): $62,300 – $114,400
- Engineer Aeronautical (T02): $75,100 – $137,600
The above salary ranges represent general guidelines. Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary offers. Depending on the position, employees may also be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
