This position will be located in one of the following locations: San Diego, CA; Palmdale, CA; Edwards AFB, CA; Mojave, CA; Redondo Beach, CA; El Segundo, CA; Patuxent River, MD; Emerado, ND; or Oklahoma City, OK. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Test & Evaluation Engineering directorate.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test aerospace systems and specialty test equipment, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight.
  • Lead planning, coordination, and execution of test activities to ensure safe, efficient, effective operations.
  • Analyze test data, resolve anomalies, and communicate results and status to internal and external stakeholders.

This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Engineer Aeronautical (T01) or Engineer Aeronautical (T02).

Requirements

Associate Engineer Aeronautical (T01)

  • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by January 2027.
  • Majoring in or having majored in a STEM degree.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Program Special access (U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite).

Engineer Aeronautical (T02)

  • Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution or is completing their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and has 2 years of Aeronautical engineering experience by January 2027.
  • Majoring in or having majored in a STEM degree.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Program Special access (U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
  • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience.
  • Leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and participation in professional, community, or extracurricular activities.

Pay

  • Associate Engineer Aeronautical (T01): $62,300.00 – $114,400.00
  • Engineer Aeronautical (T02): $75,100.00 – $137,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
