This position will be located in one of the following locations: San Diego, CA / Palmdale, CA / Edwards AFB, CA / Mojave, CA / Redondo Beach, CA / El Segundo, CA / Patuxent River, MD / Emerado, ND / Oklahoma City, OK. Relocation assistance may be available. U.S. Government Top Secret clearance required for start; ability to obtain and maintain Program Special access is required. U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite. Travel is required, approximately 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test aerospace systems and specialty test equipment, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight.
  • Lead planning, coordination, and execution of test activities to ensure safe, efficient, and effective operations.
  • Analyze test data, resolve anomalies, and communicate results and status to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Associate Engineer Aeronautical (T01)

  • Be completing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by January 2027.
  • Majoring in or have majored in a STEM degree.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Program Special access.

Engineer Aeronautical (T02)

  • Be completing or have completed a Master’s degree from an accredited institution or be completing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and have 2 years of Aeronautical engineering experience by January 2027.
  • Majoring in or have majored in a STEM degree.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Program Special access.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
  • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience.
  • Leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and participation in professional/community/extracurricular activities.

Pay

Associate Engineer Aeronautical (T01): $62,300.00 - $114,400.00

Engineer Aeronautical (T02): $75,100.00 - $137,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline. Northrop Grumman considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary offers. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
