2026 US Open Media Operations Assistant
About the role
Must be available to work from the Purchase, NY office from May–August and at the National Tennis Center in Queens from August–September 14, 2026. Must be available on-site every day from August 23–September 14.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the media application process for both traditional media and the US Open Content Creator Program
- Review applications and utilize USTA AI program to gather detailed information on applicants
- Affirm and process applications
- Write and produce Media Operations Guides
- Publish content on the US Open Media Only Website
- Absorb pre-tournament press events & activations
- Set up US Open Media Center
- Manage the front desk during the US Open
- Provide general information to members of the media
- Manage press seat allocation
- Absorb daily clip process as needed
- Absorb in-tournament special events
Requirements
Excellent verbal communication skills and a professional, service-oriented demeanor. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable using basic office technology (e.g., spreadsheets, email, online systems) for tracking assignments. Ability to remain calm under pressure and assist high-profile clients with professionalism. Availability to work the full duration of the tournament, including weekends, evenings, and extended hours.
