2026 Technical Support Rep Technical Intern (Jan and May 2027hires)

About the role

This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work for one of the largest information technology centers along the Wasatch front. The Technical Support Representative intern will provide or support technology that furthers the mission of the Church and reflects the eternal impact of the gospel, working with divine guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and customer service to employees and volunteers at the Church
• Assist with general technology, support, and customer service tasks
• Maintain confidentiality and follow IT business practices
• Perform basic asset management, disk wiping, disk imaging, and troubleshooting for Windows and Mac platforms
• Support network technologies related to system connectivity and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or within one year of graduation from an accredited college or university
• Current temple-worthy member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
• Technology background is desired

Skills

• Technical certifications such as A+, Network+, or equivalent are preferred
• Functional knowledge of supported hardware and software including Windows and Mac platforms
• Basic asset management practices
• Network technologies pertaining to system connectivity and troubleshooting
• Effective interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service
• Proactive, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to appropriately prioritize tasks
• Ability to comfortably lift 30 lbs. and reach across and work under desks

Schedule

This is a full-time internship requiring 40 hours per week for approximately 4 months. Normal office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Work locations include downtown Salt Lake City at the Church Office Building, Riverton at the Riverton Office Building, or West Valley at the Beehive Clothing Facility.
