Technical Support Intern (Fall 2026)
About the role
Benco Dental is seeking a Technical Support Intern for the Fall 2026 semester. The ideal candidate will gain valuable work experience and consider full-time employment opportunities within a caring family culture.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper computer operations for end users to accomplish organizational tasks.
- Provide knowledge and support to issue reporters regarding best practices, systems questions, software support, and general computing knowledge.
- Collaborate with other teams, including the IT team and throughout the company.
- Offer excellent customer service skills.
- Resolve issues by meeting deadlines.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an Associates'/Bachelor's Degree program in Information Technology.
- Able to work 16 hours per week.
- Willingness to work onsite in Pittston, PA.
Qualifications
- Ability to determine business criticality and impact of issues and prioritize appropriately.
- Knowledgeable in both hardware and software, willing to learn and apply new technology.
- Experience with diagnostics and help request tracking tools.
- Ability to configure PCs and laptops for the company.
- Creation and maintenance of thorough knowledge base articles from incident documentation.
- Primary point of contact for incoming issues and working directly with reporters, triaging and prioritizing issues.
- Effective communication skills (reading, writing, speaking) in English.
- Other duties as assigned.
