2026 Fright Fest Haunt Technician

Seasonal position at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, Texas. Join the Entertainment Technical Services Team to operate and maintain a Haunted House during Fright Fest 2026, assist with setup, perform daily checks and repairs, and support other department tasks.

Pay

$12–$15 per hour

Schedule

• Minimum 25–30 hours per week with occasional overtime opportunities
• Required to work all Fright Fest operating days (Fridays–Sundays plus additional days)
• Varying shifts including weekends, evenings, special event days, and occasional overnights
• Must be available for all scheduled technical rehearsals

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operational duties to assist in running the assigned haunt
• Monitor guest activities in haunts using CCTV systems
• Conduct daily inspections of scenic elements, lighting systems, and special effects
• Repair and correct issues quickly and safely to ensure guest safety
• Assist the technical services team with daily tasks including fog machine refills, lighting checks, and scenic checks
• Communicate with stage management and production management teams regarding issues or safety concerns
• Complete daily sign-off checklists for the assigned haunt
• Assist with load-in, setup, and load-out of Fright Fest 2026
• Adhere to safe work practices and policies that promote department and park safety culture

Requirements

• High school diploma (theater background preferred)
• Previous experience in the entertainment/theme park industry preferred
• Strong team player with the ability to multitask
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in group settings
• Willingness to cross-train for other operational departments and assist during key periods
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, park policies, and regulations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
