2026 Fall Human Resources Co-op Program

Essential Functions

• Performs wide variety of administrative duties to support the human resource department (i.e. letters, reports and forms; preparation, distribution, and filing of various employee communications).
• Participates in labor relation activities including grievances and contracting out.
• Affords assistance in recruiting and orientation/on-boarding activities.
• Sends and receives new hire probationary forms, tracks the progress of all Bargaining Unit new hires.
• Affords assistance in maintaining an accurate/up-to-date employee training database, and distributes reports to appropriate personnel as required.
• Coincides and participates in HR initiatives such as mass distributions, open enrollment, Health and wellness activities, etc.
• Receives and distributes department mail, prepares outgoing mail and overnight letters.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Competencies: Excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling needed to facilitate the preparation of procedures.
• Education And Experience: Full time student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor, Industrial Relations, Business or related field.
• Special Skills: Proficiency in: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point. Knowledge of basic office equipment.
