About the role
Join a dynamic team where you’ll provide essential engineering services supporting either cellular manufacturing or logistical operations. This co-op is a hands-on opportunity to gain meaningful experience while delivering impactful results.
Responsibilities
- Support the deployment of Wonderware SCADA within a manufacturing cell, including:
- Converting existing documentation
- Executing equipment validations
- Collaborating with IT and Operations to revise procedures
- Creating new reference materials to train Operations personnel
- Participate as part of the Cellular Operations team to:
- Support investigations and resolutions for non-conformances
- Develop and execute equipment and process validations
- Manage prototype order manufacturing for future validations
- Lead at least one cost-reduction project within the manufacturing cell
- Apply Six Sigma principles and use statistical methods via Minitab
Requirements
- Actively enrolled in an academic program for the full duration of the assignment
- Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the co-op term
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
- Sophomore status or higher pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical Engineering, or other related engineering science
- GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
Skills
- Working knowledge or formal education in drafting standards and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
- Proven ability to take ownership of complex, high-scope projects
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience or coursework in Statistical Process Control; modeling software experience is a plus
Schedule
Full-time (40 hours/week) during the co-op term.
