Responsibilities
- Provide manufacturing engineering services to support efficient manufacturing processes, including process development, process validation, cell management, project management, tool design, and troubleshooting.
- Create, maintain, and improve controlled technical documents, such as prints, procedures, bill of materials, and routers.
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate product costs and analyze capital equipment, capacity, and capability requirements.
- Establish and improve process methods that meet performance and quality requirements.
- Develop and execute project plans and schedules for work activities.
- Support processing applications including machining, finishing, cleaning, laser marking, and polishing.
- Evaluate multiple options to select the most appropriate processes and machining methods.
- Execute equipment qualification or process validation projects.

- Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with personnel from other departments.

Qualifications
- Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to balance quality, compliance, and safety to meet customer requirements.
- Skill in handling and prioritizing multiple medium-complexity project assignments and completing work on time.
- Good problem-solving skills using quality and statistical tools.
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team to complete critical project tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Project.
Requirements
- Must be actively enrolled in an academic program for the entire duration of the assignment.
- Must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the co-op session.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship.
- Minimum status as a sophomore in a Bachelor’s Degree program; Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field preferred.
- GPA of 3.0+ preferred.
- Experience with layout design, 3D modeling, and process improvement work using the DMAIC model.
