About the role
Forward Montana seeks eight part-time interns - two in each community in Billings, Bozeman, the Flathead Valley, and Missoula - to support voter registration, voter education and Get Out the Vote efforts!
Responsibilities
- Support and engage in weekly classes covering various aspects of organizing.
- Participate in immersive DEIJ sessions and connect with other interns from around the state to discuss assigned readings.
- Engage with current volunteers and bring new volunteers into FMT’s work.
- Support event planning, recruitment, and running of events.
- Focus on voter registration during the summer internship, and Get Out the Vote work during the fall internship.
Requirements

Qualifications
- Experience in fieldwork (voter registration, canvassing or community building) is not required but the drive and motivation to learn is required.

Pay
$17 per hour.
Schedule
This internship is a part-time, minimum 10 hours per week position with the possibility to work up to 15 hours per week. The exact number of hours will be determined during the interview process.
You must be comfortable working unconventional hours -- including nights and weekends.
This position includes both in-person and virtual components.
You must be comfortable being managed and building relationships with our statewide team remotely.
