Essential Duties
Must be detail oriented and self-motivated
Delivers instructional services to eligible students, working collaboratively with faculty and staff to ensure that students are successfully progressing through the program
Meets regularly with assigned students on a regular basis as outlined in the teaching assignment
Develops a working relationship with students' parents/guardians, providing a primary point of contact
Receives teaching support materials delivering them to assigned students
Develops an educational plan for each student, including alignment to IEP objectives when appropriate
Provides appropriate accommodations and modifications to student programs based on individual student need
Utilizes, maintains, and stays current with knowledge and skills of the student information system
Maintains, submits, and/or retrieves accurate student records to include academic progress and student contact time
Provides timely feedback to both student and parent throughout the year
Completes student progress and grade reports in accordance with district requirements
Participates in Individualized Education Planning (IEP) meetings
Works effectively with peers, parents, administrators and others (including related service personnel) maintaining confidentiality requirements
Administers state assessments, midterms and final exams at predetermined district and/or home sites
Participates in professional development and trainings related to home instruction responsibilities
Utilizes Google Classroom and technology
Assists in student-reentry to the home school campus
Meets established deadlines for required paperwork
Ability
Must be able to work in various settings and flexibility with hours
Drive to and from district sites, students' homes and other agencies to provide services
Responsibilities
Working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods
Directing other persons within a small work unit
Utilization of resources from other work units is often required to perform the job's functions
Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity.
Generally the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing.
