2026/27 Security and Safety Specialist - Pinnacle HS

Essential Functions

• Communicates safety and security policies procedures to students, staff and visitors.
• Maintains a positive campus climate by monitoring student behavior.
• Supervises lunchroom, classrooms with substitutes, detention, open areas, athletic events, and other events as needed.
• Aids students in complying with established guidelines and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
• Patrols school facilities to ensure safety and security.
• Assists with the implementation of the school's emergency response plan.
• Prepares written materials for documentation and reference.
• Provides traffic and parking control.
• Refers incidents to appropriate site personnel.
• Responds to various situations to resolve immediate safety and security concerns.
• Participates in unit meetings, in-service training, workshops, etc.

Other Functions

• Supports and enhances campus culture through reflective practices.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Adhering to safety practices, operating standard office equipment, preparing and maintaining accurate records, understanding health standards and hazards, safety practices and procedures.
• Knowledge: Understanding written procedures, writing routine documents, speaking clearly, understanding multi-step written and oral instructions.
• Abilities: Scheduling activities, collating data, using basic job-related equipment, adapting to changing work priorities, communicating with diverse groups, maintaining confidentiality, working as part of a team, setting priorities, working with frequent redirection of priorities and duties.
