California State University, Bakersfield invites applications for the 2026-27 Lecturer Pool in the Department of Management and Marketing (Management). Positions are temporary, part-time, and available for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. Applications will be considered on an ongoing basis until May 31st.

About the Role

The Department of Management and Marketing at CSU Bakersfield seeks part-time lecturers for temporary assignments. Appointments may range from one day to a full semester and are filled on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Applications for this pool are valid only for the 2026-27 academic year and will close on May 31st.

Requirements

• MBA or related graduate degree in the relevant field, or
• Bachelor’s degree and significant professional experience in the relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or related graduate degree in the relevant field
• 3+ years of work experience
• Prior teaching experience, particularly with a diverse, undergraduate student body

Pay

Salary is dependent on educational preparation and experience, with appointments subject to budgetary authorization. The salary ranges for the Lecturer - Academic Year Classification are:

• Lecturer AY (Range 2): $5,507 - $6,677
• Lecturer AY (Range 3): $6,221 - $13,224
• Lecturer AY (Range 4): $6,825 - $14,523
• Lecturer AY (Range 5): $8,593 - $15,211

The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience. Salary will be pro-rated for part-time assignments.
