2026-2027 school year - School Psychologist - District Office

About the role

The San Mateo-Foster City School District is seeking a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to support their social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological assessments and interventions to students
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to teachers
• Develop and lead professional development workshops for staff
• Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide programs addressing social-emotional learning

Requirements

• Must have a California Pupil Personnel Services Credential
• Experience working with diverse student populations
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology or related field
• Valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential
• Experience working with children and adolescents
• Knowledge of educational psychology and special education law

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
