About the role

Coopertown Middle School is seeking a certified Middle School Health & Safety Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching health and safety education to students in grades 6-8.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
• Provide instruction on health and safety topics including nutrition, first aid, and emergency preparedness.
• Assess student learning through various methods such as quizzes, projects, and class discussions.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth and development.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational program.

Requirements

• Certified in Middle School Health & Safety Education.
• Experience teaching middle school students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Physical Education, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred but not required.
