About the role

This position is for a Special Education Generalist Self-Contained teacher.

Responsibilities

• Teach students with disabilities in self-contained classrooms
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with other special education teachers, administrators, and parents
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid teaching license in Special Education
• At least two years of relevant teaching experience
• Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders preferred

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of current special education best practices

Skills

• Proficient in using assistive technology
• Skilled in data collection and analysis
• Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively
