2026-2027 General Resource Teacher - VALLEY HS

About the role

The General Resource Teacher at Valley High School is responsible for providing support to students with special needs in a co-teaching model. This position works closely with classroom teachers to ensure that all students receive appropriate educational services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Support classroom teachers in creating an inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students.
• Assist in the assessment and monitoring of student progress towards IEP goals.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching strategies and knowledge related to special education.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• A valid teaching license in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with special needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using technology to support instruction and data collection.
