About the Role

This position is for a Special Education Generalist Self-Contained teacher assigned to the Resource Room program at Clark, E. W. High School in Las Vegas, NV.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in a self-contained resource room setting
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
• Adapt general education curriculum to meet the needs of students with diverse learning needs
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and objectives
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
• Maintain compliance with all special education regulations and documentation requirements

Requirements

• Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting

Qualifications

• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Ability to develop and implement effective IEPs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Skill in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
