About the role

Early Childhood Special Education Teacher responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to young children with disabilities in an inclusive or self-contained setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student.
• Deliver evidence-based instruction in core academic areas and adaptive skills.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure continuity of services.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and monitor student progress toward IEP goals.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities.
• Create a safe, positive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Requirements

• Valid Nevada Department of Education license with an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) endorsement or ability to obtain one.
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Experience working with young children (ages 3–8) with diverse disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of early childhood development, special education law, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
