About the role

The primary role is to teach Early Childhood Special Education students.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum standards.
  • Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborate with other special education teachers and support staff to develop individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Special Education or related field.
  • Valid Idaho teaching license with endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education.
  • Experience working with children with special needs preferred.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Pass a background check.

Skills

  • Knowledge of early childhood development and special education best practices.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe learning environment.
