Essential Functions/Typical Tasks
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop relative plans to address student needs.
- Serve as IEP case manager for qualifying students, adhering to all required special education regulations and timelines.
- Provide a continuum of special education services based upon current research and evidence based practices.
- Develop lesson plans in accordance with curriculum expectations and IEP requirements.
- Ensure that the instructional, adaptive, social/emotional, and behavioral needs of students are met.
- Collaboratively oversee classroom support staff, including assigned teacher assistants.
- Collect and analyze data to inform educational decision making.
- Participate in a variety of activities to support school and program operations including, but not limited to, faculty meetings, professional development, and family engagement activities.
- Abide by State statutes, School Board policies and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law, Division policy, and administrative regulations.
Qualifications
- Must currently hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher License in the area of Early Childhood Special Education.
Salary Range for the 2026-2027 school year is $54,590 - $85,329 with additional supplemental pay for a graduate degree. Fully licensed successful candidate eligible for $5,000 signing incentive and a $5,000 VRS qualified stipend.
Workday Full time / 10 month/ 200 Day Contract
