About the role
Grandview School District is seeking dedicated substitute teachers to inspire and support our students. As a substitute, you'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment, gaining valuable experience while fostering a positive impact on young minds.
Responsibilities
- Manage classroom and provide instruction according to lesson plans as prepared by the classroom teacher.
- Provide classroom environment which promotes active learning.
- Aid the teacher with all aspects of the daily routine, including distributing and collecting supplies, keeping attendance records, lunchroom duty, recess, etc.
- Work with students to help reinforce learning objectives.
- Adhere to all Grandview School Board policies and procedures.
- Use appropriate judgment to act in the best interest of students at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
- Observe and utilize reasonable and professional medical/safety precautions to include positioning children in a safe and secure manner.
Requirements

Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and some fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 34% sitting, 33% walking, and 33% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard free environment.
