About the role

We are seeking an Autism Teacher to support students with autism spectrum disorder in an elementary school setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with autism.
• Provide specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with autism.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to support student success.
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies for support.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.

Requirements

• Must possess or be able to acquire by the time of appointment a teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education.
• Must be certified in special education, with a focus on autism or related subject areas.
• Complete the entire three-year work history in the "Experience and Credentials" section of the application, including periods of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work.
• Required documents must be attached at the time of application to be considered.
