About the role
ProRecruiters is seeking a Lead Machinist to join a growing and dynamic team in Broken Arrow, OK. This is a full-time contract position.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and/or CNC mills and lathes to produce parts to specification.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
- Inspect finished parts with precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to confirm accuracy and quality.
- Lead and support machinists on the shift by assigning tasks, answering questions, and helping train less experienced team members.
- Troubleshoot setup, tooling, and quality issues to keep production on schedule.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Communicate production status, issues, and needs to supervisors and the incoming shift.
Requirements
- Ability to read and use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Good attitude and the ability to work well with and lead others.
- Takes pride in their work and is committed to quality.
- Willingness to learn and grow.
- Basic machining knowledge; mill and lathe setup and operation.
- Previous leadership experience.
Pay
$20 to $35/hour + $3/hour shift differential
Schedule
Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm to 1:30am (Ability to work OT as needed)
