Lead Inspector / Machinist

Job Duties

Lead and support the inspection team by assigning tasks and assisting with training
Operate and program manual and CNC CMM machines for precision inspections
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications
Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured parts
Utilize inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Identify and document non-conforming products and assist with corrective actions
Maintain inspection records and generate quality reports
Promote workplace safety and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
  
• Attention to detail and safety
  
• Reliability
  
• 3-5 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
  
• Experience operating and programming manual and CNC CMM equipment
  
• Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills
  
• Leadership or mentoring experience preferred
  
• Familiarity with metrology software such as PC-DMIS preferred
  
• Strong communication and organizational skills
  
• Ability to bend, lift, twist, crouch, etc.
