About the role
Ahl Horan Association (AHA) is a non-governmental, non-profit making, national organization. It was established in May 2012 in response to the humanitarian needs resulting from the current situation and the humanitarian crisis in Syria to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people. AHA operates in different sectors, implementing various projects and programs.
Responsibilities
- Daily communication with the field officer to ensure that all the project activities are managed in accordance with AHA's policy and donor regulations;
- Support the field officer in the process of coordinating with local councils and other stakeholders;
- Maintain beneficiary lists based on established selection criteria and ensure applying the appropriate eligibility criteria;
- Persistent communication with AHA's M&E team to ensure all monitoring forms are filled properly and completed in a timely manner;
- Work closely with AHA's supporting departments and other projects to ensure the maximum impact of the projects' activities within the targeted areas;
- Ensure community support for the program, and minimize conflicts around product distribution;
- Work closely with local councils and the M&E team in case of absent beneficiary and replacements;
- Assure distribution plans, distribution updates, and distribution monitoring plans for the FSL project are in place and are running smoothly;
- Responsible for archiving all distribution sheets/protocols, photos and other documentation are properly archived in addition to sending the original hard copies to Gaziantep office;
- Submit reports of the accomplished tasks upon the supervisor request;
- Adhere to the protection standards and GBV violations during distributions and report it;
- Other tasks assigned by the supervisor corresponding to the needs and the context.
Qualifications / Technical Skills
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (social science, Agriculture, public relations, Business Administration… etc.);
- Experience in working within the humanitarian field;
- Familiarity with the humanitarian context affecting communities in Syria;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook;
- Good level of English and experience of working for humanitarian organizations is desirable.

- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to cope with a challenging and constantly-evolving humanitarian work environment, often under pressure;
- Ability to establish and manage effective working relationships with colleagues, managers and external partners, other I/NGOs, and community representatives;
- A strong commitment to humanitarian relief and disaster operations;
