Our warehouse operations ensure that products are properly received, selected, and delivered to our stores for our ever-growing number of customers. Teams work in both ambient and temperature-controlled areas, supported by a thorough and comprehensive training and safety program.

Schedule

Full-time position averaging 45 hours per week.

Pay

Starting salary: $36.44 per hour. Salary increases: Year 2 - $38.46 per hour | Year 3 - $40.49 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and modify daily work schedules considering warehouse needs.
  • Coordinate job activities and tasks of direct reports on a daily and/or extended basis, including timing and location.
  • Oversee daily receiving of product and/or daily selection and shipping of product to stores.
  • Monitor processes for inbound and outbound deliveries to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve operating results.
  • Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
  • Model the company strategy and communicate core values to foster teamwork and membership among employees.
  • Interact effectively with peers through ongoing communication and align with shared warehouse management objectives.
  • Collaborate with other divisional and national operational areas to share relevant information.
  • Communicate with District Managers and store management as appropriate.
  • Provide input and recommendations to the Warehouse Operations Manager regarding operational improvements.
  • Monitor all third-party service providers within the warehouse to ensure acceptable performance.
  • Ensure communication with the in-house carrier regarding daily schedule changes and needs.
  • Monitor the competitive environment and inform management of necessary adjustments to maintain competitive position.
  • Recommend personnel for advancement and termination as appropriate.
  • Address warehouse issues, escalate or refer concerns, and uphold established standards for equitable treatment.
  • Oversee warehouse personnel to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of day-to-day operations.
  • Lead, plan, and facilitate regularly scheduled Warehouse Associate meetings.
  • Train and develop direct reports to achieve their maximum professional potential.
  • Observe and evaluate employees’ work performance; provide feedback and coaching, including annual performance reviews.
  • Supervise the timely, accurate, and efficient storage of product, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, maintenance, and operational safety guidelines.
  • Oversee warehouse personnel to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Monitor and manage controllable expenses, inventory, efficiency results, and payroll adjustments.
  • Supervise shipping plans as established by transportation management and facilitate order changes as needed.
  • Ensure a safe environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment.
  • Manage direct reports to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Previous management experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop rapport, trust, and open communication with direct reports.
  • Strong negotiation, conflict management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stay organized, multi-task, and pay attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently work in varying temperatures, including hot, cold, outdoor, refrigerator, and freezer environments.
  • Continuously standing; frequently required to sit, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse.
  • Frequently required to lift and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights.
