Russell Plywood is a wholesale distributor of thermally structured panels, veneer panels, composite panels, and specialty products. We import products from around the globe and work directly with mills to bring our customers the best selection. We have one of the largest selections of SKUs in the panel industry. We operate our own fleet of trucks that service Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey on a daily basis, ensuring customers receive products when and where they need them. For customers throughout the United States and beyond, we also offer common carrier service and, in some cases, next-day air. We've been serving the woodworking industry since 1953, working with cabinet manufacturers, closet design and organizing companies, architectural millworks, boat builders, and retailers.

About the role

Warehouse work involving heavy plywood boards, typically 8 to 12 feet long and 4 to 5 feet wide. Some boards weigh over 100lbs, requiring more sliding than lifting. The role includes picking, packing, shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, palletizing, banding/strapping plywood orders and barges, and operating a sit-down propane forklift.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship orders
• Receive and unload incoming shipments
• Load and unload plywood boards and barges
• Palletize and band/strap plywood orders
• Operate a sit-down propane forklift (3-pedal configuration: clutch/inching pedal, brake, gas)

Requirements

• Experience using a 3-pedal sit-down propane forklift with a left-to-right configuration of clutch (inching pedal), brake, and gas
• Ability to handle heavy materials, including sliding plywood boards up to 12 feet long and over 100lbs

Pay

$20.00/hour (non-negotiable)

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to close (typically 10 to 12 hours per day)
• Overtime paid after 40 hours
• Occasional Saturdays as needed

Drug Screen

14-panel drug test, including testing for all forms of THC. No exceptions—testing positive for THC will result in a failed drug test.

Vacation and Sick Time

Vacation Time: Earn 3.0769 hours per pay period (1.54 hours per week), prorated based on hours worked if less than 40 per week.

Sick Time: Earned throughout the anniversary year based on years of employment and paid hours. If actual paid hours are less than 40 per week or 2080 per year, earned sick/personal time will be prorated.
