1st Shift Steel Welder

Sparta, TN – Full‑time skilled steel welders needed in the Smithville, TN area.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on structural and fabricated steel components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.
• Measure and lay out materials accurately using tape measures and precision measuring tools.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications

• Previous steel welding experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

Required Assessments

• Hands‑on weld test.
• Written blueprint reading test.
• Written tape measure reading test.

Compensation

Pay: $22.00 – $30.00 per hour, based on welding skills and experience level.
