1st Shift Stand-Up Forklift Operator / Warehouse Material Handler

About the role

1st shift position (6:30am to 3:30pm) in a fast-paced warehouse environment, primarily working in a cold freezer storage area. The role involves a variety of duties associated with food processing, assembling, and packaging operations.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, handle, and ship a variety of products and ingredients.
• Supply the Production Department with required materials and ingredients.
• Maintain neat and clean storage areas as assigned.
• Work across different warehouse areas, including dry goods storage, cooler, and freezer storage.
• Complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
• Occasional overtime may be required on short notice.

Requirements

• One (1) year of stand-up forklift experience.
• Good basic math skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently or effectively in a team.
• Lifting up to 80 lbs. maximum.
• Post-employment physical functional test required.
• Detail-oriented with excellent punctuality and attendance.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
• Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, deep reach trucks, and hand jacks.
• Constant exposure to variable temperatures, including very hot and very cold environments.
• Work in wet and slippery conditions; proper footwear required.
• Exposure to a noisy plant environment; company-provided safety hearing plugs must be worn at all times.
• Safety awareness is essential.

Pay

Starting salary of $21.00 per hour with the ability to move to $22.50 per hour after one year. Eligible for semi-annual bonuses after one year, as well as other bonus programs.
