Location: Hart, Michigan

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to assigned crew.
• Accept responsibility for the work performed under your direction.
• Ensure that assigned work is completed in a timely manner.
• Ensure product being shipped is within acceptable levels of quality, costs, and efficiency.
• Represent the company through words and actions.
• Motivate employees to complete tasks while ensuring that the productivity and quality standards are met.
• Promote a team environment and assist employees in reaching full potential.
• Ensure employees receive proper training and instruction on assigned tasks.
• Provide discipline as needed, including desired corrective action.
• Ensure that employees follow proper safety procedures.
• Perform weekly safety talks, daily forklift checks, and ensure work areas are free of hazards.
• Promptly report problems or concerns to Management.
• Perform shipping tasks in GEM, SAP or Manhattan scheduling system.
• Enforce proper procedures that align with the company’s shipping policies.
• Communicate effectively with vendors/suppliers, carriers, and any other company or non-company personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills.
• Clear communication skills.
• Prior management experience preferred.
