1st Shift Production Supervisor

About the role

Price Industries Inc. is seeking a 1st shift Production Supervisor for its growing US office and manufacturing facility located in Winder, Georgia. This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager and is responsible for managing production activities, ensuring delivery performance, quality, safety, and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Improving the efficiency and utilization of the production department
• Ensuring quality of products built and resolving quality issues
• Identifying and addressing problem root causes and implementing corrective and preventive measures
• Utilizing functional support departments to resolve quality issues
• Identifying and resolving safety concerns
• Motivating department members through involvement, communication, and positive reinforcement
• Providing employees with feedback through formal and informal performance evaluations
• Monitoring attendance and taking disciplinary action as necessary up to termination
• Dealing with grievances and conflicts in a calm, controlled, and professional manner
• Planning manpower and staffing, including operators, lead-hands, and master crafters
• Ensuring effective training and cross-training
• Mentoring and developing lead-hands to manage hourly manufacturing operations
• Driving continuous improvement within departments to achieve better quality, efficiency, and productivity
• Using Lean Manufacturing and other techniques
• Ensuring daily shop cleanliness and carrying out required machine preventive maintenance

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in sheet metal and HVAC
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume, multi-product environment
• Proven track record in Lean Manufacturing
• Comfortable in a team-oriented environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred

Exceptional leadership skills, a sense of urgency, and strong aptitude are required. Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to solve practical problems and difficult situations. Must pass a drug screen and background check.
