Job requires 8-hour days, including mandatory overtime and weekends. Shift hours vary based on assignment.
Responsibilities
- Support production by minimizing equipment downtime and providing prompt response times.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance and production equipment repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Perform minor tasks on electrical components such as sensors, fuses, and breakers.
- Follow safety policies and practices while maintaining Wabash’s Leadership Principles and Values.
- Work on projects individually and with cross-functional teams.
- Perform other duties as needed or required.

Requirements
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Basic reading, writing, and verbal skills.
- Prior experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical (24DC, 120/277/480AC) systems.
- Methodical problem-solving to identify root causes of breakdowns.
- Ability to work individually and cross-functionally.
- Capability to rapidly respond and adapt to changing, nonstandard situations while remaining thorough and safety-conscious.
- Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge of power and hand tools.
- Ability to make detailed measurements using instruments such as tape measures, micrometers, and dial calipers.
- Experience using SAP and SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) is a plus.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a related field.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of ladder logic preferred.
- Knowledge of 480-volt AC/DC motor controls preferred.

Working Conditions
The work environment may expose employees to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. Noise levels can be very loud, and temperatures may vary. All employees must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Regularly required to stand, walk, lean, push, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle, and operate tools or controls for the entire shift.
