About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of equipment, machinery, and facility systems. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment and systems
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as needed
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
  • Perform other job duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • 1 year experience using general hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • At least 1 year of previous machinist experience
  • Experience with measuring tools (micrometers, dial calipers)
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring, motors, pumps, and HVAC systems
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Ability to follow safety regulations and procedures

Physical Requirements

  • Standing and walking at least 7 hours/day
  • Ability to carry and lift weight up to 25 lbs
  • Bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling required (at least 2 hours/day)
  • Use of hands for fine dexterity, light and strong grasping (at least 7 hours/day)
