1st Shift Machine Operator Intermediate -Range

About the role

The Range Operator is responsible for the overall performance of the finishing range, ensuring all quality, process, and cost standards are met while following established procedures and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fabric processing for defects or finishing problems and alert management or QA for decision-making on the roll.
• Collaborate with the QA technician and management to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Input style and finish information into the machine computer and verify all settings are correct.
• Provide feedback on fabric quality and complete all required paperwork and record-keeping for the machine.
• Key data into the EVS unit and print maps (EVS & BFD) to accompany paperwork.
• Assist with EVS and broken filament detector input, including printing maps.
• Splice and set up the machine for optimal quality and efficiency.
• Perform distortion measurements and wrap rolls according to customer specifications.
• Cut samples, complete splice check samples, and tag fabric for lab testing.
• Clean equipment during finishing changes.
• Maintain all records in accordance with ISO standards.
