Requirements
- Attention to detail
- Ability to review products and materials during the manufacturing process
- Lumber / Plywood must be pulled from bunks, sorted/graded for quality, and run through various saws/machines according to the work order
- Communicate verbally or in written form
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Follow safety requirements
- Desire to produce quality parts
- Willingness to listen to and receive instruction
- A desire to learn and retain information
- Ability to lift, push, pull, move up to 50 pounds regularly
- Able to remain stationary for long periods
- Experience with saws and machine operation is beneficial. On-the-job training for candidates willing to learn with no experience
- Willing to learn wood species, grading wood, and different cabinet parts.
Responsibilities
- Be able to work effectively and courteously with co-workers
- Understand and follow safety guidelines, including wearing company-provided protective equipment
- Provide regular and consistent attendance - be on time for the work schedule
- Contribute to the creation of quality parts as defined by company-provided quality standards
- Willingly participate in all training
- Be motivated to achieve production targets and other key performance measures
