Site Overview
Our High Point, North Carolina facility is a non‑union manufacturing plant with approximately 55 employees. The site specializes in producing polyurethane foam and other foam products. As a key location within FXI's manufacturing network, the High Point plant is known for its strong focus on quality, safety, and operational excellence. Job Overview
A Chop Line Machine Operator in the foam industry is responsible for operating machinery that continuously cuts foam blocks or buns into specified sizes, sheets, or components for manufacturing and customer orders.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor chop line machinery used in foam processing.
- Cut foam blocks, sheets, and products according to production specifications.
- Read and follow work orders, production schedules, and cutting instructions.
- Measure and inspect foam products to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Adjust machine settings to achieve required cut sizes and production efficiency.
- Remove, stack, package, and label finished foam products.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment.
- Report machine malfunctions, quality issues, or material shortages to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Ability to accurately read tape measures and production specifications.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
- Ability to lift and move foam materials as required.
