1st Shift Machine Operator 4-Day Workweek

About the role

The Machine Operator is responsible for running Zund Plotter equipment to process high-value materials and prepare vehicle wraps and fleet decals.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Zund digital cutter(s) to process materials including cast vinyl, reflective fleet films, and specialty laminates.
• Accurately cut and weed complex vehicle wraps and fleet decals, ensuring registration marks align perfectly with printed graphics.
• Prepare and import digital files from software such as Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, or Zund Cut Center.
• Manage Zund modules, including oscillating blades, kiss-cut tools, and universal modules; ensure blades are sharp and calibrated for different vinyl thicknesses.
• Monitor output for dimensional accuracy and weeding ease to meet strict fleet delivery timelines.
• Set up machines as required and recognize quality, acceptable product.
• Assist in training inexperienced personnel.
• Operate various pieces of equipment throughout the plant(s) with minimal supervision after initial training.
