1st shift Floor Assembler

About the role

The Floor Assembler I performs repetitive bench or assembly-line operations to mass-produce mechanical and/or electrical products.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools to assemble parts according to product specifications.
• Assemble parts, components, or units in a specified relationship to each other.
• Identify units that fail tests and repair as necessary.
• Package assemblies as required.
• Run machines, including arbor presses and riveting machines, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on the assembly line.
• Achieve production efficiency and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Rotate workstations according to business and production needs.
• Adhere to work schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, stand, sit, squat, and reach over your head.
• Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds.
• Must be able to lift overhead.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Work under moderate supervision.
• Rotate work areas as needed.
• Attention to detail and quality focus.
• Excellent attendance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• Regularly works in a warehouse environment with elevated noise, dust, and activity.
• Non-temperature-controlled warehouse where temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
• Frequent exposure to moving parts.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, or hear.
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to climb ladders to extreme heights.
• Occasionally lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

Schedule

• 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
• Overtime when required.

Pay

$17.50 - $22 biweekly.
