Its schools have received 96 Blue Ribbon awards from the U.S. Department of Education over the past 10 years Primary Function The classroom teacher assistant is responsible for helping students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, responsible adults under the direction of the classroom teacher/team Key Relationships The teacher assistant reports to the principal and is supervised by the principal. Other key relationships include the assistant principal, grade level team, and his/her assigned teacher. Qualifications And Requirements A Bachelor's Degree- preferred High School Degree- required Ability to teach appropriate grade-level curriculum Ability to establish collaborative relationships with the assigned teacher or grade-level teaching staff Personal and Professional Qualities The teacher assistant must have the ability to work tactfully and effectively with students, teachers, administrators, and parents. He/she must display evidence of an educational philosophy in agreement with that of Holy Family Catholic Academy. He/she must display an ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
