1st, 2nd and 3rd shift Utility

About the Role

A utility worker is responsible for cleaning assigned areas inside the facility and serving as the backup Material Handler on the shift.

Responsibilities

General Utility

• Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Transfers supplies between storage and work areas.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Material Handler

• Ensure all machines have the correct material, blends, colorants, and do not run out.
• Move finished goods from the machine after scanning is completed.
• Stock machines with WIP components and packaging material.
• Supply an empty, clean Gaylord for each machine for scrap parts, runners, etc., in accordance with LMT internal procedures.
• Return all components to their original location using proper scanning procedures when a job is complete.
• Use IQMS and/or the Work Order to determine machine component needs.
• Wrap skids before placing them in the warehouse.
• Responsible for the use of regrind on all applicable jobs.
• Return material to the proper location using a scanner.
• Place old unusable skids neatly in the appropriate designated location.
• When cleaning hoppers or any material container, use the provided vacuum cleaner.
• Mix resins and colorants per manufacturing recommendations.
• Responsible for drying resins per manufacturing recommendations.
• Keep all machines and auxiliary equipment free from spilled materials.
