Network Engineer – contract‑to‑hire position based in Newington, VA, requiring a TS/SCI clearance. The role involves designing, securing, and maintaining resilient network architectures to support uninterrupted communication and mission‑critical system availability for government customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain routing and switching solutions using protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Develop LAN/WAN architecture, design, and deployment strategies.
• Utilize network monitoring and performance tools (e.g., SolarWinds, NetFlow, Wireshark) to ensure optimal operation.
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, QoS, and load balancers.
• Work extensively with Cisco platforms, including Catalyst, Nexus, and ACI.

Compensation

Salary range: $160,000 – $180,000.
