About the role

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer (VDI) on a Contract‑to‑Hire basis to support a mission‑critical Department of Defense customer. The role is remote with up to 10% travel to client sites in Newington, VA; candidates must be local to the DMV area and hold an active TS/SCI clearance. Responsibilities include monitoring VDI health, running PowerShell monitoring tasks, and deploying validated updates to production VDI environments.

Qualifications

• Strong PowerShell, VDI, and automation knowledge
• Experience with image‑as‑code solutions
• Experience performing pre‑production testing and validation of VDI image updates
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs
• Familiarity with Omnissa Horizon hosted on vSphere

Pay

Compensation: $160,000 to $175,000
