1332 - NiaB Lead Installer

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Must have knowledge of IP networking and IPSEC tunneling concepts
• Able to install a small network with little to no supervision
• Able to troubleshoot local connectivity issues
• Able to coordinate with remote network engineering staff to resolve network issues/outages
• Possess the ability to develop/modify/read schematics and drawings
• Able to survey sites and assist with developing a Bill of Materials
• Able to conduct status briefings with project managers and stakeholders
• May be required to utilize test equipment (multimeters, cable testers, network testers, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
• Willing to travel up to 50%
• Willing to travel OCONUS for short periods up to 30 days at a time

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology or related field of study
• Computer Programs/Software Experience: MS Office Suite (Word/Visio/PowerPoint)
• Mandatory Certifications: DoD 8140 IAT Level II (CompTIA Sec+ or equivalent)

Essential Job Duties

• Conduct site surveys for new installations, followed up with after action reports and install plans/drawings
• Install routers, servers, switches, computers and other peripheral equipment according to drawings
• Interconnect devices and verify connectivity
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues
• Communicate clearly with company personnel and customer throughout the project(s) lifecycle

Pay

Salary Range: $80,000 - $115,000 annually.
