About the Role

MSRC is seeking a part-time qualified senior-level candidate to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support for Program Offices within PAE Fires and the Missile Defense Agency. The candidate will deliver technical, engineering, and management support for planning, direction, and control of PAE Fires/MDA programs across Engineering, Programmatic, and Business Management domains.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and leading interdisciplinary, cross-functional teams in materiel prototype development, testing, and production to meet project objectives, interfacing with SMEs in Electrical, Mechanical, Production, Software/Logical, Business, and Operations domains across Project Offices, Government Agencies, and Industry Partners.
• Serve as a principal advisor to Program Managers and subordinate leadership on financial, schedule, and technical matters to enable an integrated understanding of program risk and status.
• Continuously assess, devise, and recommend more efficient and effective methods for communication, reporting, and briefing to improve streamlined operations.
• Provide missile and radar-specific technical expertise to inform Integrated Logistics Support activities.
• Assimilate and distill detailed technical, financial, and schedule information for leadership presentations to support fact-based decision-making.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on program goals and deliverables.
• Serve as program representative in reviews, working groups, and risk management forums.
• Support preparation of weekly and monthly recurring briefings and taskers, including weekly Situational Awareness Reports (SITREP), staff calls, and monthly Program Management Reviews (PMR). Prepare responses to ad-hoc taskers from internal and external organizations.
• Assist with documentation preparation such as reports, studies, briefings, and weekly status reports.
• Demonstrate proactive problem-solving and adaptability to rapidly changing conditions, with the ability to multi-task and pivot between disparate topics.
• Apply strong program management skills to quickly form, organize, and lead large, diverse, cross-organization teams.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant science field.
• 25+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience with policy development and management oversight.
• Demonstrated experience in DoD weapon or radar systems analysis/engineering activities.
• Experience in systems engineering, including requirements derivation, requirements management, configuration management, and safety engineering.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to plan, organize, and manage effectively.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must currently possess and be able to maintain an active Top Secret security clearance and be SAP eligible.
