102-08 Direct Support Professional

About the role

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) supports adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, and more. The DSP also assists with medical appointments, banking, community involvement, medication administration, following Behavior Support Plans, and adhering to medical guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Advocate and support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Support daily living activities such as household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, and more
• Absentee support including attending medical appointments, banking, community outings, administering medications, following Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans, and medical guidelines
• Follow agency policies and DDS regulations
• Safely evacuate individuals from the home in case of emergencies
• Maintain certifications and handle job-related duties

Requirements

• Must be 21+
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities as listed above
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job
• Fluent English speaking, reading, and writing skills
• Flexible schedule to meet program and individual needs

Pay

$17.50 - 19.00 per hour

Schedule

Sun 4p-10p, Mon-Tues 3p-11p, Wed 2p-11p, Thurs 1p-10p
